GREASE NIPPLE
INSTRUCTIONS
The main bearing of your yacht crane (All SM & CT Series) needs to be greased thoroughly every 3 months to prevent corrosion.
- Raise the boom of your crane until you can access the inside of the truck.
- Look for the serial number plate, you will find a ¾” diameter plastic plug directly in front of the serial number plate.
- Carefully pry out this plug either with your fingers or a flat head screw driver.
Underneath you will see a grease nipple.
- Using waterproof high pressure grease, insert about five (5) shots into the bearing.
- Rotate the crane 90 degrees and insert another five (5) shots. Repeat two more times so that you have greased the bearing at four (4) spaced points.
- Replace the plastic plug.
- Exercise the crane thoroughly in the rotation function to evenly distribute the grease.
- Repeat again in 3 months.
